Guests are encouraged to wear Iowa Hawkeye and or NASCAR attire at both events as Edna would want others to be comfortable.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations either be given to the family or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Born on March 6, 1938, to Warren “Nifty” and Helen (Dawson) Feidler, Edna grew up in the Ventura and Meservey area, where she played as the forward on her high school basketball team at Ventura High School.
On June 6, 1959, Edna tied the knot with Wallace “Ike” Ruppelt at the First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Together, they welcomed four children into their lives. Edna dedicated herself primarily to homemaking, nurturing her children until they reached adulthood, after which she found employment at Mode O Day and Shopko.
Outside of her family and work, Edna found joy in participating in dart leagues and bowling leagues at both Jill’s Place and the Saddle Company. She had a vibrant social life, relishing in the company of friends at local hangout spots. Summers were cherished for camping adventures with loved ones. Among her many pets, Mutzer Girl stood out as her favorite dog, while Chicken, her loyal feline companion, brought her comfort and companionship especially on the challenging days.
Edna enthusiastically supported her children and grandchildren at their stock car races and horse shows. An avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes Basketball teams, both men’s and women’s, she also followed NASCAR, with Chase Elliott holding a special place in her heart as her recent favorite driver.

Those left to cherish memories of Edna are her children, Lila (Richard) Ueker, Craig Ruppelt, John Ruppelt, and Shelly Leaman; Nicole (Patrick) Murphy, Andrea (Craig) Ammeran, Lucas (Madison Cook) Ruppelt, Nathan Ruppelt; great-grandchildren, Leah Kline, and Laken Ruppelt; step-grandchildren, Weston Woltjer, and Chrystal Bauer; as well as longtime friend, Dorothy “Dutch” Hepperly.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace “Ike” Ruppelt; both her parents; siblings, Merle Feidler and Viginia Ferris; as well as good friend, Gary Hepperly.
