COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND – The University of Iowa men’s wrestling team finished in fourth place at the 2024 Big Ten Championships at the Xfinity Center.

“Are we going to cry about the results and continue to look in the rear-view mirror or are we going to look ahead and position ourselves the best we can,” said head coach Tom Brands. “That’s number one. Number two is, we have to be ready for Kansas City. Those two go hand in hand.”

No. 3 seed Zach Glazier finished as runner-up at 197 pounds losing to top-seeded Aaron Brooks of Penn State via technical fall, 19-3.

“Our guys want to be champions,” said Brands. “This program wants to be champions. You’re talking to guys that are disappointed, but you don’t stop pursuing. You don’t stop doing the right thing, you’re relentless for the things that you want. Because you know what they’re still in play and that’s what I like.”
