The newly purchased property is adjacent to the company’s existing 230,000 sq/ft Mason City facility, adding 155,000 square feet and 18 acres of property to significantly enhance its manufacturing capabilities in the region. The City Council of Mason City plans to consider a development agreement and amendment to its urban renewal area in the near future to facilitate the expansion. Stellar will invest over $15 million and create at least 40 new jobs over the first five years of the project, and the City will provide a 10-year annual rebate agreement not to exceed $1 million.
