OBIT: Gerald “Jerry” Dean McCullough

Gerald “Jerry” McCullough, age 81 of Livermore, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Titonka Care Center. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27th at the American Legion in Livermore.

Gerald “Jerry” McCullough, age 81 of Livermore, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Titonka Care Center. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27th at the American Legion in Livermore starting at 5:00 PM. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Livermore.

Gerald Dean McCullough, the son of Clarence “Buck” and Mabel (Porth) McCullough, was born on February 11, 1942 in Fonda, Iowa. He graduated from Twin Rivers High School in Bode, Iowa in 1959. On July 31, 1960, he was united in marriage to Donna Holmes at the United Methodist Church in Livermore. He worked numerous jobs over the years including the Livermore Elevator, Jerry’s Service Station, and W&H Co-op, where he retired. Jerry loved working in his garage, fixing his kid’s and his messes up and his lawn mowers.

Left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his wife of 63 years, Donna; children, Brian (Christy) McCullough of Livermore, Jeff (Cathy) McCullough of Humboldt, Dave McCullough of Coralville, Nette (Matt) Kellner of Livermore, Cheryl May of Humboldt, and Jody (Jeff) Baker of Spirit Lake; a lot of grandkids; a lot more great grandkids; and a few great great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna’s parents; sister, Beverly; and son, Kevin.
