AMES – Head coach Kevin Dresser announced the addition of two high school prep standouts to Iowa State’s 2024 signing class Monday. Canon Acklin and Gabe Carver will arrive on campus for the 2024-25 season.

Three-time Oklahoma high school state champion … compiled a 99-5 record in his first three high school seasons … is 19-4 to start his senior season … won two titles at 106 pounds before winning the 120-pound weight class as a junior … finished with a 38-2 record his junior season … 2022 Mid America Nationals champion … three-time KC Stampede runner-up … helped Collinsville to Oklahoma 5A team titles in 2021 and 2022, and a runner-up finish in 2023.
