Marjorie Lucille Muchmore, 86, of Mason City, passed away January 11th at MercyOne Medical Center.
Marges’ wishes were to be brought back to her family farm in Scales Mound, IL. A celebration of life will be held at the Mason City VFW at a later date.
Marjorie was born October 1st 1937 in Guilford, IL., daughter of Clyde and Ada (Bahr) Koester. Memories that she shared of growing up on the family farm will be warmly remembered by her loved ones.
After graduation from high and business school she found a career as a dance instructor and taught both in West Palm Beach, Florida and Rockford IL. She had many other occupations after and fully retired in 2012 but you could always find her somewhere singing, dancing and having fun. She loved anything related to music but being a Mother came first. She loved her children and grandchildren and cherished any time she got to spend with them.
During her marriage to Larry Reynolds she was able to travel to Japan, Georgia, Louisiana and California and later she moved to Arizona which was easily her favorite place to be.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Eugene (Lori) Reynolds, Lonnie (Tammy) Reynolds, Darin (Laura) Reynolds and Derek (Susan) Reynolds; grandchildren, Pia, Gage, Chandler, Anastasia, Brendon, Bryan, Jennifer, Alex and Abby; seven great grandsons; siblings Charles Koester and Genelda Steffan; special friend Ray Eliason; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her former husband, Larry Reynolds; Grandson, Brennen Reynolds; parents; and siblings Deloss and Phyllis.
