On September 6, 2023, at approximately 10:00 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s office took a report of an accident near the intersection of R Avenue and 200th Street near Hawkeye, Iowa. Fayette County Deputies arrived on scene, conducted an investigation, and it was found that Landyn Lucas Schuldt, age 18 of Oelwein, Iowa, was southbound on R Avenue when he lost control of the motorcycle he was operating.
As a result of the crash, minor injuries were sustained, and damage to the 1997 Harley Davidson Motorcycle were considered a total loss.
Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Hawkeye Fire Department, Hawkeye First Responders, and Fayette Ambulance Service. This accident remains under investigation.
