MASON CITY – The City of Mason City will be moving a garage through town Friday, and no parking is allowed along the route.
On Friday, September 22, starting at approximately 9:00 am, the City will be conducting a structure move from 416 South Polk Avenue to 220 12th Street SE. The duration of the structure move is anticipated to last approximately one hour.
The route of the move is as follows:
Start at 416 S. Polk Avenue, west on alley, south on Polk Place, west on 6th Street SW, south on South Pierce Avenue, east on 19th Street SW, north on South Pennsylvania Avenue and east on 12th Street SE to 220 12th Street SE.
No parking signage will be placed on the streets along the route of the move on Friday, September 22. Vehicles parked on the streets of the route will need to be moved off of the streets prior to the move – violators will be towed.
For the safety of all involved, please avoid the route for the duration of the move.
