MASON CITY – A Mason City house will be moved next week, and motorists are advised not to park along the move route.
On Tuesday, September 12, starting at approximately 9:00 am, the City will be conducting a structure move from 1019 4th Street SW to 1526 South Taft Avenue. The duration of the structure move is anticipated to last approximately one hour.
1019 4th Street SW was recently acquired by RCP INVESTMENT V LLC.
The route of the move is as follows (see map, above):
Start at 1019 4th Street SW, South on Polk Place, West on 6th Street SW, South on Pierce Avenue, West on 19th Street SW, North on Taft Avenue to 1526 S Taft
No parking signage will be placed on the streets along the route of the move on Monday, September 11. Vehicles parked on the streets of the route will need to be moved off of the streets prior to the move – violators will be towed.
For the safety of all involved, please avoid the route for the duration of the move.
