Donald Jean Miller, 69, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.
Per Don’s wishes his body has been cremated and no services will be held.
Don was born on May 13, 1954, in Grundy Center, Iowa, the son of Irene (VanLengen) Miller. He was a graduate of Mason City High School’s Class of 1974. Don spent 42 years working at Curries. Don married Kristine Kratz on September 29, 1984 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa.
Those who knew Don will remember him for his great ability to joke around and make you feel welcomed even if it was through teasing sometimes. He also was known to be a simple man, enjoyed nature, animals and attending gun shows. Don also liked to watch movies and television especially with his pets and wife by his side.
Those left to cherish memories of Don are his wife of 38 years, Kristine Miller; brother in-law, Richard Regan; Kristine’s siblings, David (Kelly) Kratz, Ray (Deb) Kratz, Lynn (Teri) Kratz, four legged companions, Phoebe and Jake; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended relatives and friends.
Don is preceded in death by his mother; siblings, Sharon Regan and Robert Miller; as well as his parents in-law, Mary Ellen and Marvin Kratz.
