Danielle Jo Colby, 33, was welcomed into heaven on Friday, June 9, 2023, after a courageous battle.
Family will be having a Celebration of Life from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Swensrud Park, 2nd Ave S, Northwood, IA.
Danielle was born on June 4, 1990, the daughter of Jerry and Connie (Grimm) Colby of Northwood. She was a graduate of Northwood Kensett High School.
Those that knew Danielle will remember a bubbly and caring personality, she liked being the center of attention. Danielle loved to be the star of the show especially when it came to sharing her musical talents with others. She enjoyed singing and had recently just taken up playing the guitar. There weren’t a lot of things in the world that Danielle didn’t like. She was the type of person that would go the extra mile just to make sure someone else didn’t have to take another step. Her smile and contagious laugh is going to be missed by many.
From the age of six she was diagnosed with type one diabetes and she had been a fighter since day one. Danielle believed she was a witch because she was able to fight through so many difficult times in her life. The battle against dying may have been lost but she will not be forgotten.
Those left to cherish memories of Danielle are her daughter, Lillian Beresford; mother, Connie Colby; siblings, Megan (Kyle) Stucky, and Anthony Chevez; nieces and nephews, Madylyn, Kamille, Ryder, Xavier, Weston, and Ambrose Stucky; aunt, Jeanette (Scott) Hanson; uncle, Jeff Colby; as well as other extended family and friends.
Danielle was greeted in heaven by her son, Landon Beresford; father, Jerry Colby; brother, Dustin Colby; and her maternal grandmother, Cheri Hallman; paternal grandparents, Dave and Darlene Colby as well as her cousin, Justina Smith.
