MASON CITY – A Northern Iowa motorcyclist and a deer collided south of Mason City, sending emergency responders to the scene.
On the June 3, 2023, at approximately 9:08 PM, the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s department and Mason City fire department responded to Partridge Avenue and 230th street for a single vehicle collision. Martin Williamson, age 65 of Alden, Iowa, was driving a 2021 Harley Davidson south on Partridge Avenue (Highway 65) when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by Williamson’s motorcycle. Williamson was treated at the scene for possible injuries, but was not transported by EMS.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Mason City Fire EMS.
