Allan Ray Burris 64, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Monday, April 3rd, 2023, peacefully in his home. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Allison is caring for Allan and his family.
Allan was born on April 6th, 1958, to Delbert and Betty (Clouse) Burris in Cresco, Iowa. Allan attended and graduated from Cresco High school in Creso, Iowa. Allan continued his education at Hawkeye Tech for HVAC.
Allan started work for a heating and cooling company in Greene, Iowa and then later started working for Cooper Motors in Allison, Iowa. In his later years Allan worked at Goodwill in Waverly, Iowa and then finished his working career at Walmart as a door greeter in Waverly, Iowa.
Allan had many hobbies throughout the years he enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his children and helping them learn the fundamentals of sports, fishing, and in his later years he enjoyed hunting and golfing with life-long friends and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. Allan was a true jokester and always trying to make others laugh whether he knew you or not.
Allan is survived by his daughter Amanda Burris, older brother Bill (Judy) Burris, younger sister Kim Burris, niece Melissa (Cole) Rabska, nephew Brandon Hebert, and grandchildren Adyn, Emery, and Micah Dunkelberger.
He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Betty Burris, son Adam Burris, son Jesse Burris, daughter-in-law Krista (Salvage) Burris, and grandson Adam Burris.
