Algona couple arrested on multiple felonies after meth house raid

ALGONA - An Algona couple was arrested on multiple felonies after police raided a house full of meth, cash, and drug dealing materials.

ALGONA – An Algona couple was arrested on multiple felonies after police raided a house full of meth, cash, and drug dealing materials.

On March 27, 2023, the Algona Police Department and Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office were both involved in an investigation that lead to a search warrant at 115 E. Grove St. in Algona, Iowa. Items seized included cash, illegal drugs, and items known to be associated with the selling or distribution of methamphetamine.

As a result of the search warrant, two residents of 115 E. Grove Street were arrested and booked into the Kossuth County Jail. Jessica Subject, age 36, and Brent Weisbrod, age 42, were both charged with:

• Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (Class B Felony)
• Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor)

The Algona Police Department and Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office were assisted in the execution of the search warrant by the Iowa State Patrol. All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven or found guilty in a court of law.
