Patricia “Pat” Ferleman, 77, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the IOOF Home in Mason City, IA.

Patricia “Pat” Ferleman, 77, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the IOOF Home in Mason City, IA.

A Funeral Service will be held, 11:00am, Monday, March 20, 2023 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, March 19, 2023 Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA.

Pat was born on January 5, 1946, in Charles City, the daughter of Albert and Irene (Ruckdashel) Eggena. She grew up the third child out of four. Pat grew up in Thornton and attended school in Meservey School District. She was a member of both the marching band and pep band, playing the French horn, trumpet, cornet and snare drum. She also played tennis, basketball, and softball. Pat was a graduate of Meservey High School’s Class of 1964.

She married Peter Ferleman in October of 1965, the couple was blessed with two children, Lori and Lonnie. Pat worked many jobs over the years, including, Casey’s, pizza delivery, phone sales and surveys, and home care of a special needs individual. Being a CNA in various nursing homes was Pat’s main career. Pat also had a small business, Precious Memories Memorials that helped people create markers to memorialize their loved ones in a special and personal way. Michael Coty, her significant other of 36 years, helped her with this business until his passing in 2016.

In her free time Pat enjoyed puzzle books, tootling around town, watching hallmark movies and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren, Nehryah and Ehlyjah. She was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Mason City, IA.

Those left to cherish memories of Pat are her children, Lori Ferleman and Lonnie Ferleman; grandson, Anthony (Tori) Holmes; great grandchildren, Nehryah and Ehlyjah; brother, Alvin (Sue) Eggena; brother in-law, Keith Morphew; sister in-law, Donna Eggena and fiance Daryl; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents; her significant other, Michael Coty; a sister in infancy, Marla Jean; brother, Fred Eggena; and sister, Judith Morphew.
