IRVING, TEXAS – The Big 12 Conference today announced the creation of its first-ever basketball anthem, an original song written and composed by musician P.L. that pays homage to the top conference in college basketball.

This anthem was heard throughout the arena and on broadcast during the Phillips 66 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships in Kansas City this week, which tips off on Wednesday, March 9.

“No Nights Off” can be heard here.

“As the Big 12 Conference continues to thrive at the intersection of sport and culture, we recognize the significant role music can play,” said Commissioner Brett Yormark. “With this new anthem, we wanted to create something that excites our student-athletes and showcases the new heights the Big 12 Conference is reaching. We are grateful to P.L. for partnering with us and his incredible work writing and composing “No Nights Off.”

P.L. also composed 30-second spots for both the men’s and women’s tournament, which can be heard here and here.

P.L. is a Detroit-based musician who, in addition to writing and performing his own original tracks, has worked with a variety of professional sports leagues and teams.
