MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore post player Jackie Pippett was selected as the ICCAC women’s basketball player of the week for the week of Feb. 6-12.
omen’s It is the third time in her career that the Ankeny native has earned the league’s weekly POW honor. She was selected as the league’s player of the week for the week of Dec. 5-11 this season and was also honored for the week of Jan. 3-9 in the 2021-22 season.
Last week, NIACC picked up wins over the Central College Junior Varsity and Marshalltown CC and dropped a decision at Iowa Lakes.
Pippett scored 18 points with five rebounds against Iowa Lakes. She also scored 14 points against the Central JV and Marshalltown.
In the three games, Pippett averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.3 steals.
Pippett ranks in the top five in the ICCAC in steals (60), blocks (24) and offensive rebounds (57).
NIACC returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC contest at Iowa Central. The Trojans host No. 5 Iowa Western on Saturday.
