MASON CITY – For the fourth time in his career, NIACC sophomore Myles Tucker has been selected as the ICCAC Division II men’s basketball player of the week.

Tucker shared the league’s weekly award for the week of Jan. 23-29 with Kirkwood sophomore Noah King.

Tucker, who is from Ottawa, Ill., also won the award for the week of Jan. 2-8 earlier this season. He also won the award twice during his freshman season.

Tucker scored a career-high 42 points in last Saturday’s 78-69 win over Southwestern. The 42 points in a game ranks eighth on the school’s single-game scoring list.

Tucker also scored 26 points in a win over the Graceland University Junior Varsity.

Tucker ranks 18th on NIACC’s career scoring list with 898 career points. He also ranks seventh in career three-point goals with 125.

Tucker averages 20.1 points per game, which leads the ICCAC and ranks 24th in NJCAA Division II. Tucker also leads the ICCAC with 70 3-point goals, which ranks fourth in NJCAA Division II.
