Beverly Sue (Green) Egeland, was born on October 30, 1966 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to Arlo and Geraldine (Schiller) Green. She passed away on January 4, 2023 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 56 years.
Bev was raised in Mountain Lake and graduated from Mountain Lake High School in 1985. She then attended Minnesota VoTec in Mankato and Minnesota West in Jackson. In 1997, she married Steve Egeland and moved to Estherville, Iowa. Bev was living on the Egeland family farm for the last six years.
Bev had many health problems, but that didn’t keep her love of animals at bay. Her three horses, Peter, Skittles, and Bandit; two donkeys Sissy and Nemo, and three dogs Maisey, Saasy, and Izzy all kept her very busy. She had a kidney and pancreas transplant and many more surgeries throughout her life. She loved life and was living her dream. She was a lifetime member of the St. John’s Wisconsin Synod Lutheran Church in Darfur, MN, where she was baptized and confirmed.
Beverly is survived by her husband Steve Egeland of Estherville, her mother Geraldine Green of Mountain Lake, her brother Arvid (Carol) Green, her sister Rose (Matt) Norell, nephew Aren Green, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Beverly is preceded in death by her father Arlo Green, grandparents, Marshall and Luella Green and Elmer and Esther Schiller.
