Young Waterloo man identified as murder victim in recent shooting

WATERLOO – A young Waterloo man has been identified as the murder victim in a recent shooting.

Waterloo police say that on November 21, 2022, at approximately 11:30 PM, Waterloo Police and Fire Rescue responded to a report of a person down in the 200 block of Miriam Dr. Once on scene, they discovered a male victim had been shot. The victim was transported to Mercy One, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s name was not immediately released until family was fully notified.

Later, police said the victim in this incident has been identified as Keivon L. Anderson, age 20 of Waterloo.

Police called the incident a “homicide.” No arrests have been reported by police thus far.
