Kathy A. Adams, 52 of Rockford passed away surrounded by family Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at MercyOne Des Moines.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, IA 50401.
Visitation and public viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Inurnment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene, IA at a later date.
Kathy Ann Lindloff was born March 25, 1970 in Mason City, the daughter of Edwin Christopher and Doreta (Olsen) Lindloff. Growing up, she attended Mason City High School, graduating in 1988 and continued her education at Hamilton Business College. She was married to John Dana Adams on October 1, 1993 in Mason City and the couple had four children, Calvin, Benjamin, Amber and Dylan. Her children were her life. She raised them with pride and was always the first person to catch them if they fell. When the kids were grown, she began work at the gas station in Rockford and recently at Randy’s Market in Osage.
Kathy was outgoing and could talk to just about anyone. Her warm, selfless nature let her make friends with anyone who crossed her path. She took pride in her independence and never turned down a good chess match. Time on the golf course brought her joy. But, most of all, her family and especially her grandchildren filled her world with happiness. She will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Doreta Bailey; children, Calvin and Benjamin Adams of Osage, Amber and Dylan Adams of Rockford; grandchildren, Audrey, Parkyr, Charly, and Davya Adams; husband, John Dana Adams; sisters, Shelley (Brad) Lichman and Lisa (David) Julsen; step-sisters, Kristi (David Barber) Roethler and Michelle (John) Frazer; half-sister, Cassandra Lindloff; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends and family members.
Preceding her in death is her father, Edwin Lindloff.
