Andrea Jean Cannon was born December 3, 1982 in West Union, Iowa. She was the third child of Bruce and Sherry Cannon. She was the “baby” of the family, but no one would have guessed with all the things that she did to keep up with her brother and sister. Andrea was always full of surprises! We never knew what she would think or do next! Always kept us on our toes!! Her daughter, Chloe, is a “little Andrea” all over again!

Andrea spent most of her childhood in West Union. When she was a junior, the family moved to Lake Mills, Iowa where she graduated in 2001. She attended NIACC to get her gen-eds and then attended Rochester Community and Technical College to earn her dental hygiene degree in 2004. She was employed at Dr. Carney’s office in Clear Lake for many years and then with Burgmeier Dentistry in St. Ansgar. She managed the Dairy Queen while a senior in high school. She was the assistant manager at the St. Ansgar swimming pool in 2019.

Andrea married Jeremy Ostrander on October 30, 2004. Three children were born to this marriage. They later divorced.

Andrea was an avid Chicago Bears fan!! One would find her every Sunday glued to the TV to watch “her” Bears (hopefully) win!

She was a sports enthusiast helping coach Youth Wrestling and even getting in there to wrestle with the kids when needed. She also helped with her children’s baseball and softball leagues in the summer.

Those living to celebrate Andrea’s life are her children, Hudson, Logan and Chloe; her parents, Bruce and Sherry Cannon; siblings – Cory (Holli) Cannon, West Union and Kristin (Ryan) Maus, Middletown, Delaware. Her nieces and nephews – Clara, Emma, Ellie, Donnie Cannon and Kaitlyn, Reagan, Morgan and Isaac Maus. Her significant other – Rob Garnas. Many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Andrea was preceded in death by her Grandma Helen Scheidel, Grandpa Richard Scheidel, Grandpa “Buzz” and Grandma Ardath Cannon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family to be used to further her children’s education.
