CEDAR RAPIDS – U.S. Marshalls are hunting a fugitive Iowa meth dealer, authorities say.

According to a bulletin released today by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, 55-year-old Chad Havens is on the loose. NIT previously reported back in July that Havens, age 55, from Vinton, Iowa, received a sentence of over 6 years in prison after a March 23, 2022 guilty plea to two counts of distributing methamphetamine. There is no parole in the federal system.

Havens was being held in the United States Marshal’s custody until he could be transported to a federal prison.

However, today’s bulletin says Havens is on the loose, and could be armed and dangerous. His last know location was in Garrison, Iowa.
