NIACC’s Marchand earns ICCAC POW honor

MASON CITY – For the second straight week, the NIACC women’s soccer player has been honored by the ICCAC.

NIACC sophomore forward Brianna Marchand was the ICCAC Division II women’s soccer player of the week for the week of Sept. 26.-Oct. 2.

The Trojans’ Jada Westover was selected as the ICCAC Division II keeper of the week for the week of Sept. 19-25.

In a 2-2 tie against No. 6 (NJCAA Division III) RCTC, Marchand scored a goal and had an assist. In a 3-2 win over Southeastern, Marchand scored two goals.
In a 8-3 win over Marshalltown CC, Marchand accumulated a hat trick.

NIACC (3-6-2 overall, 3-2-1 in the ICCAC) returns to action Saturday at Scott CC. Match time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
