Dawn Renee Dean passed away on August 31st, 2022 in Mason City Iowa.
Dawn Renee was born on September 8th, 1957 in Mason City, Iowa to Fred & Mary (Coyier) Dean. She was a special birthday gift to her grandmother (NuNu) Gertrude Dean. With three older brothers trying to be her boss, she became strong and always gave them a run for their money. In January 1976 she became a mom to a little boy with Larry Smith. It was just her & Chad until she met Dennis Voigt. They had two children together. She enjoyed riding the motorcycle and laying in the sun getting a tan. Her laughter was always contagious. She enjoyed having her cup of coffee either with her sister-in-law Jan or her best friends Ladonna and Barb. She loved being a mom but loved being a grandma of 7 even more. In 1999, she found her true love, Sean. She’ll forever be our Queen Bee.
She is survived by her other half, Sean Johnson of Mason City; her 3 children, Chad Dean, Kristofer Voigt & Megan Voigt of Mason City; stepchildren, Katie & Sean of Des Moines; grandchildren, Madisyn, Jaguar, Jared, Keyona, Ashton, Makale & Laiken; brother Scott of Plymouth; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends
Preceded in death are her parents, Fred & Mary; her sister Darlene Jamison; brothers Terry Cahalan and Kim Dean; and her sister-in-law Janet Dean.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
