WATERLOO – Waterloo cops subdued an aggressive man with a knife and took him in for a mental evaluation.
At approximately 8:09 AM on Thursday, August 11, 2022, Waterloo Police Officers were dispatched to the area of the 3400 blk of W 9th on a report of a man threating people with a knife. Officers located the male walking near San Marnan towards Wal-Mart and approached with caution, as the male was brandishing the knife. Officers attempted to reason with the male to drop the knife, but ultimately had to utilize Tasers to take the male into custody.
The male was transported to an area hospital for treatment and a mental evaluation.
