In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Nate’s honor to be used for his daughters’ future education.

A nearly lifelong resident of Mason City, Paul Nathaniel was born on October 3, 1990 at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa. He attended Mason City High School and graduated among the class of 2009.

On September 7, 2013 Nate was united in marriage to Danielle O’Tool and together they would be blessed with two daughters, Ryleigh Kate and Channing Anne.

Nate’s greatest love in life was his family, and especially his two beautiful daughters. He was a friend to many and could always be counted on to light up a room with his smile and deep belly laugh which was contagious to all those around him!

He loved living on the acreage which was truly a dream come true for him. And because of his love of animals, he soon had accumulated a “funny farm,” so to speak, made up of goats, chickens, many beloved cats, and even a few cows. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending concerts with Danielle.

For the last ten years Nate, or should we say, “Carlos” has worked for Dean Snyder Construction, where many of his coworkers became as close as family. He truly embodied “No Bad Days” and always seemed to carry a smile on his face, regardless of the obstacles ahead.

Nate was a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed by his wife, Danielle; and their daughters, Ryleigh and Channing; his parents, Kim and Don Swann and Brian and Eloise Prough; his siblings, Javen, Neeley, and Josten Swann, and Destinee (Nick) Vance; his beloved niece, Areli Jo; grandparents, Rev. Ron and Karen Stein, Marlene and Tom Rosene, and Paul and Connie Prough; father and mother in law, Randy and Lisa O’Tool; brother in law, Ryan O’Tool; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended relatives.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Marge Swann.
