OBIT: Jayne E. (Perrin) Rossell

Jayne E. Rossell, 77, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on June 11, 2022, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. A memorial visitation will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Des Moines, Iowa from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a praying of the Rosary, on Monday, June 27, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Burial will be held at a later date.

Jayne was born on June 7, 1945, in Cherokee, Iowa, to her parents Clement and Vivian (Gardner) Perrin. She grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Jayne was married to Gary Alvin Rossell, and the couple welcomed their daughter Kelly Rossell and son Matthew Fahey into their family. The couple later divorced.

Jayne worked for Farmland Insurance for 27 years and there for MercyOne from which she just retired this June due to health reasons. Jayne was a highly active member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Des Moines, Iowa. She was active in The Women of the Word, Bible study, Eucharistic Minister, Adoration of Mary as well as helping the elderly of the church in many ways. Jayne kept very active, she taught Yoga, took dance lessons, loved to take walks but her true joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Jayne is survived by her daughter Kelly Rossell (Tom) McLean of Morrison, Iowa; grandchildren Jennifer Rossell, Padraic McLean, Maia McLean, and Mailea McLean; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Matthew Fahey Rossell; two sisters; one brother; and a nephew John Perrin.
