MASON CITY – Mason City will be hosting the Preserve Iowa Summit from June 2 through June 4, 2022. As a part of the summit, Iowa History 101: People and Places will be bringing the History on the Move mobile museum to Mason City.
The exhibition is housed in a custom-built Winnebago and showcases nearly 50 artifacts from the State Historical Society of Iowa to share our state’s remarkable past, from the Native Americans who first settled here to an astronaut who flew into space.
Iowa History 101 is open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm and there is no admission fee.

The Iowa History 101 Mobile Museum is a project of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs and is made possible through the generosity of presenting sponsor, EMC Insurance and partners Casey’s, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and Winnebago.
