FORT DODGE – A Fort Dodge convenience store was robbed.

On Sunday, May 22 at approximately 11:42 P.M., the Webster County Telecommunications Center received information on a robbery that had just occurred at the Casey’s General Store, 2007 N 15th Street. The caller indicated an individual entered the store and demanded money before leaving on foot.
When officers arrived on scene, they spoke to the victim and other witnesses. Information gathered at that time indicated a male entered the store and demanded money from the cashier. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the area to the south on foot. No weapon was displayed during this incident and no injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a male, standing approximately 6’ tall, wearing all black clothing including a face covering. The Fort Dodge Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident and encourage anyone who may have information to contact police immediately. Anyone who may have video surveillance of the area around this time, is encouraged to contact law enforcement.
The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted on scene by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office.
