COUNCIL BLUFFS – The NIACC women’s track and field team picked up a pair of second-place finishes in the throwing events at the NJCAA Region XI meet on Saturday.
NIACC’s Halsie Keltner placed second in the javelin with a personal best toss of 127 feet, 1 inch, which ranks fourth on the school’s all-time list. The Trojans’ Brenna Paulson was second in the hammer with a personal best throw of 135-11, which ranks second on the school’s all-time list.
Also in the hammer, Cinnamon Evans was fourth with a personal best toss of 129-2, which ranks fifth on the school’s all-time list. Keltner was sixth with a personal best throw of 119-4, which ranks eighth on the school’s all-time list.
In the javelin, Powers was ninth with a toss of 96-10.
