DES MOINES – A domestic incident led to the death of a woman in Des Moines, and a suspect was arrested on murder charges.
Shortly before 2:00 a.m. Saturday, Des Moines police officers and medics responded to a medical call in the 2700 block of SW 23rd Street, not far from downtown. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased 35-yr-old female with obvious traumatic injuries. Officers detained 33-yr-old Clarence Reed at the scene.
Des Moines police detectives took over the investigation. Following examination of the available evidence, and consultation with the Polk County Attorney’s Office, Reed was charged with one count of Murder-1st Degree.
Reed remains held in the Polk county jail, awaiting court appearances.
