DAVENPORT – Cops nabbed a suspect after two Iowa credit unions were robbed recently.
On Friday, January 21, 2022 at approximately 4:56 PM, Davenport Police responded to the Family Credit Union at 2238 Jersey Ridge Rd in reference to the report of a bank robbery. Preliminary information indicates that a subject entered the business and demanded money from a teller. The subject fled the business after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.
On Wednesday February 2, 2022 at approximately 10:13 AM, Davenport Police responded to the Family Credit Union at 1400 Rockingham Road in reference to the report of a bank robbery. Preliminary information indicates that a subject entered the business and demanded money from a teller. The subject fled the business after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.
On Wednesday February 2, 2022, through a joint investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigations, 25-year-old Rayontrez Brown was taken into custody and charged by Davenport Police with two counts of Theft 1st Degree. Brown is charged in relation to the January 21, 2022 Family Credit Union (2238 Jersey Ridge Rd) and February 2, 2022 Family Credit Union (1400 Rockingham Road) bank robberies and is in-custody at the Scott County Jail.
