Robert William Helmick, the son of Floyd Robert and Iva Jean (Hildreth) Helmick was born on April 18, 1950 in Estherville, Iowa. He died on January 20, 2022 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 71 years.
He attended Estherville schools. Robert married Deanna Clark on April 12, 1971 in Estherville.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed watching Gold Rush, going fishing and camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna (Clark) Helmick; his children, James, Tanya, and Chris (Karina) Helmick; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda (Lawrence) Pyawasit, Zoar, WI, JoAnn (Tom) Plumhoff, Ceylon, MN, Carol (Jim) Miller, Estherville, and Velda (Rick) Cole, Graettinger; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Robert and Iva Jean (Hildreth) Helmick, and a sister, Beverly Titus.
