PRAIRIE CITY, IOWA – An Iowa police chief died of COVID complications.
It is with deepest condolences that the City of Prairie City reported the passing of Police Chief Michael German on January 13, 2022, due to complications from COVID-19. Chief German served the citizen of Prairie City since 2014.
His death is being considered a Line of Duty death.
Chief German was a dedicated servant leader in the Prairie City community and beyond, and he will be greatly missed, the city said in a statement.
