OBIT: Cleo Weisenstein

Cleo Ann Weisenstein, of Granger, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in her home at the age of 91.
Cleo was born November 28, 1930, in Nashua, Iowa to the late Matthew and Eva (Guhlow) White. Cleo was also preceded in death by her sister, Jaunita Mehmen and brothers, Arthur, Gilman, and Stanley White.

Cleo was united in marriage with her love, Francis L. Weisenstein on October 19, 1974, in Charles City, Iowa, who survives.
Cleo was a loving person and cherished her family. She loved to dance and be with her friends. Her best moments were getting up in the morning and having her coffee and reading the paper with Fran, her soulmate. She loved to clean her house. Her hair was always done perfectly, and she always had to have it perfect before she went anywhere. She was a Lady of the Elks and was always there to lend a helping hand. She loved being a model for the Elks Ladies style show. She was always beside her Fran when he was an Elks officer. Cleo was the office manager for Cory Coffee Service for over 20 years and retired when she was 60 years old. She enjoyed traveling with Fran to places like, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Germany, Paris, New Mexico and many more.

In addition to her loving husband, Cleo is survived by sons, Lee (Gloria) Boggess of Marion, Iowa, and Caven (Annette) Boggess of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and daughter, Sandy Weisenstein of Waterloo, Iowa. Seven grandchildren, Matthew (Cyanna) Boggess, Daniel (Johnna) Boggess, Kristen Samuel, Kaley (Brandon) Schaefer, Travis (Angie) Crooks, Jennifer Crooks and Jeffrey Bauer. Her sister, Laurel (Ron) Heller of New Hampton, IA and brother Bruce (Carman) White of Charles City, Iowa. Cleo was also blessed with 9 great-grandchildren, Rylee Boggess, Parker Boggess, Maelynn Boggess, Maverick Boggess, Nolan Samuel, Skyler Samuel, Caden Bauer, Ella and Lee Aral.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana 46635.

On Wednesday, December 8, 2021 the family will hold a family service at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home, 1205 South Main Street, Charles City, Iowa, with burial and graveside services to follow at Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions in Cleo’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society of North Central Indiana, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
