DUBUQUE – A woman is dead after a fatal auto accident in Dubuque.
On December 5, 2021 at approximately 12:37 P.M., the Dubuque Police Department responded to 5th St. and Central Ave. for a motor vehicle collision. The investigation determined Branden Authement, 32, of Dubuque, was driving a 2000 Toyota Echo south on Central Ave. and ran a red light at 5th St. and Central Ave. Authement struck a 2010 Jeep Liberty driven by Anthony Livens, 62, of Dubuque. Authement sustained serious injuries and was transported to Unity Point – Finley Hospital. Authement was later transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Livens also sustained serious injuries and was transported to MercyOne Hospital.
Nancy Meisenburg, 54, of Dubuque, was a passenger in Livens’s vehicle and sustained serious injuries. Meisenburg was transported to MercyOne Hospital and later died from her injuries.
The collision remains under investigation.
