OBIT: Magnus Anderson

Magnus “Buddy” Anderson, the son of Carl and Ada (Blow) Anderson Sr., was born on October 18, 1933, in Armstrong, Iowa. He passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong at the age of 88 years.

Buddy attended school in Armstrong before helping his father with their welding business Anderson Welding.
He married Margaret Ramsey on May 5, 1956, and to this union, three children were born, Dale, Deb and Nancy.
Buddy enjoyed fishing, gardening, collecting guns and attending his grandchildren’s events. He also liked to spend time at the lake cabin, going to farm sales and auctions and doing puzzles. He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, and the ABC Club.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Anderson of Armstrong; his children, Dale (Laurie) Anderson of Welcome, MN, Deb (Rick Dailey) Godfredsen of Armstrong, and Nancy (Patrick) Berte of Algona; his grandchildren, Taylor (Marisa) Anderson, Connor Anderson and Brooke Anderson, Stacie (Scott) Platfers and Joel (Catie) Godfredsen, Kristin (Jonathon Feavel) Berte, Jonathan (Hunter) Berte and Alexis Berte; his great-grandchildren, Declan, Sadie and Kinnick Anderson, Shelby, Ryker and Jemma Platfers, and Emerson Godfredsen; his sisters, Cecelia Jenson and Elna (Dick) Foreman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl (Jeanne) Anderson Jr., son-in-law, Jim Godfredsen, brother-in-law, Richard Jenson and his mother and father-in-law, Gus and Francis Ramsey.
