CLARKSVILLE – A wanted Northern Iowa man lied to cops, then was busted for drugs and eluding officers.
On November 21, 2021 the Clarksville police department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to dim. During the stop, officers attempted to identify a male passenger. The passenger provided false information to conceal his identity. After a brief investigation, the passenger was identified as Jeffery Friis age 57 of Sumner. Friis was then arrested for outstanding warrants from 3 surrounding counties for failure to appear on the following charges: possession of controlled substance violations, eluding, and driving while revoked. Friis was booked into the Butler County Sheriffs Office where he was then extradited to Buchanan County to be seen by a judge.
