Doris I. Baumann, 89, of Mason City, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Faith Baptist Church, 1807 S Kentucky Ave. with Pastor Dave Callison officiating. Services will be livestreamed on the Major Erickson Funeral Home Facebook page.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Doris Ione Baumann was born on March 12, 1932, in Humbolt, MN to parents Emil and Lydia (Huckins) Friebohle. Doris attended high school in Halleck, MN, upon graduating she moved to Rochester and began working at St. Marys as a dietitian. Shortly after she was united in marriage to Dean Baumann. The couple were wed in China Lake, California. Once back in the Midwest she began working as a manager at Woolworths in Rochester and did so for 32 years until her retirement.
Doris and Dean enjoyed riding motorcycles with CMA and Doris herself played a big role in her grandchildren’s lives caring for them in the evenings while her son Kenny Sr. worked the night shift.
Doris is survived by her son, Kenny (Virginia) Baumann Sr., grandson, Pastor Kenny (Christa) Baumann Jr., great grandchildren, Evy, Emelya, Elyanna and Elyas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Baumann, grandson, Jeff Baumann, parents and seven siblings.
