Jessie Hogan, age 80, of Iowa Falls, passed away, October 8, 2021, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Iowa Falls with burial at Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls.
Jessie Jean was born on September 7, 1941 in Moorhead, Iowa to Lyle and Else (Enfield) Holeman. On September 16, 1957, Jean was united in marriage to Jerry Hogan in Iowa Falls. Jean worked for Riverside Book and Bible.
Jean was a member of the Garden Club and was actively involved in the CWF. She loved being with her family. She especially loved traveling with her family. Jean’s house was always open to her extended family.
Jean is survived by her daughter Sherri (Rex) Meyer of Iowa Falls, son Jerry Hogan of Oak Park, California, grandsons Heith Meyer of Mason City and Brian Meyer of Iowa Falls, sisters-in-law Tracie Meyer of Iowa Falls and Reenie Hogan of Stewartville, MN and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
