OBIT: Diane Reams

Diane Marie Reams, 75, of Charles City passed away on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at Mercy One North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa due to complications caused by shingles.

A funeral Mass for Diane Reams will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City with Reverend Tom Heathershaw officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City and continue one hour prior to the mass on Friday at the church.

Diane Marie Woodworth, daughter of Hubert and Marie Woodworth was born on July 3, 1946 in Charles City, Iowa. She attended Charles City High School. On December 3, 1971, Diane was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Reams at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. Together they raised four children on their family farm north of Charles City.

For 15 years, Diane worked at Comprehensive Systems in Charles City. In her free time, Diane was busy taking care of her family, gardening and “messing” with her flowers. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in the yard. Diane was an avid baker often sharing her homemade canned items and cookies/pies with family members and friends. Many heated card games were played at the Reams’ house.

Diane is survived by her husband of 50 years Bob; children: Renae (Dave) Reams, Robert Jr (Heidi) Reams, and Mitchell (Sarah) Reams; grandchildren: Shawna Smith, Kayla (Ben) Harper, Justin, Emily & Amber Reams, Lydia, Jonathan, & Dominic Reams and Colin Reams; great grandchildren, Liam Harper and Gracynn Belcourt; and brothers, Gary (Sandy) Woodworth and Ralph Woodworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert & Richard; sisters, Carolyn, Alberta & Mary Lou; and son Christopher Reams and his wife Colleen.

She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
