MASON CITY – NIACC’s Samantha Coron has been selected as the ICCAC Division II offensive volleyball player of the week for the week of Sept. 13-19.
Coron, who is from Abrams, Wis., collected 95 assists in five matches last week, including 23 against Central Lakes College-Brainerd. She also had 57 digs, 28 kills and seven ace serves.
Coron had a season-high 10 kills in a 3-2 win over the University of Jamestown Junior Varsity.
Coron leads the Trojans with 344 assists (7th in ICCAC), 218 digs (10th in ICCAC) and 30 ace serves (3rd in ICCAC). She ranks fourth on the squad with 99 kills.
NIACC (9-11 overall, 1-2 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at home against Southeastern in an ICCAC match starting at 7 p.m. in the NIACC gym.
