AMES – Cops in Ames tracked down a suspect who allegedly robbed a convenience store days ago.
On September 1, 2021, at 12:19 PM, the Ames Police Department responded to a report of a robbery in the parking lot of Casey’s Convenience Store at 428 Lincoln Way. Investigators from the Ames Police Department subsequently developed a suspect. Friday morning, members of the Ames Police Department Emergency Response Team took the following individual into custody at 2823 Lincoln Way Apartment 11.
Willie Stanford Jr. of Ames was charged with Robbery in the 2nd Degree
The Emergency Response Team responded, called Stanford out of his apartment, and took him into custody without further incident.
