Ricky “Rick” Lee Wright, 62, of Mason City, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for you to plant a tree in his memory or directed to the family and a charity will be established at a later date.
Rick was born October 6, 1958, son of Wayne and Judy (Baumgarten) Wright. He grew up in Baraboo, Wisconsin and moved to various places in his young adult life. In 1998 he moved to Clear Lake and worked in the food industry for many years.
Rick was united in marriage to Shirley Raddatz and to this union Katheryn was born in 1984. Later he was united in marriage to Rhonda Barnett on August 16, 2007 in Mason City.
In 2006, Rick opened Ballbreakers in Mason City, and held many events for the community. Rick will be known for always working hard and always provided for the ones he loved. The biggest joy he had was being with his grandchildren and watching them grow up through the years. Rick found so much joy in being able to dress up as Santa, pass out gifts to the less fortunate children.
Rick was survived by his wife, Rhonda Barnett of Mason City; daughter, Katheryn (Matthew) Bodie of Windsor, Wisconsin; three grandsons, Alexander, Vincent, Montgomery Bodie; three step children, William (Paula) Abbott, Kenyon Abbott and Kyle (Lacey) McLaughlin; three step grandchildren, Oliver and Clark McLaughlin, and Jase Benson-Abbott; and five siblings.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Wright and Judy Reinfeldt.
