DAVENPORT – An Iowa man was caught with child porn after cops investigated his activities.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which initiated an investigation.
During the investigation, Scott Matthew Decker, a 45 year old male from Blue Grass, Iowa was developed as the suspect in this case. Through the investigation, information was obtained for criminal charges of sexual exploitation of a minor. Evidence was obtained that Decker was possessing and promoting child pornography.
On August 24th, 2021 Decker was arrested and booked into the Scott County Jail charging him with two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor- Promotion (Iowa Code 728.12(2)), a class “D” felony.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Blue Grass Police Department in this investigation.
