EMMETSBURG – Cops nabbed a dangerous wrong-way drunk driver this weekend in Palo Alto county near a popular casino.
On July 23, 2021 at 4:08 PM, the Palo Alto county sheriff’s office received a complaint about a vehicle that was unable to maintain lane. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted in the 4700 block of 370th Street in Emmetsburg, Iowa, near the Wild Rose Casino. Upon conducting an investigation, the driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Cara Paulsen of Whittemore, Iowa, was placed under arrest and charged with operating while intoxicated 1st offense, and driving on the wrong side of the road.
