MALLARD, IOWA – A police investigation this weekend netted four North Iowa meth suspects.
On July 24, 2021 at 1:40 AM, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of harassment occurring in the 900 block of Inman St., Mallard, Iowa.
As a result of the police investigation:
Jason Langschwager (48) of Primghar, Iowa, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense methamphetamine – aggravated misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense marijuana – serious misdemeanor, possession of drug paraphernalia – simple misdemeanor, harassment 3rd degree – simple misdemeanor, driving while license suspended – simple misdemeanor.
Ashley Sorensen (35) of Okoboji, Iowa was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st offense methamphetamine – serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia – simple misdemeanor.
Jesse Colhour (24) of Ruthven, Iowa was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense methamphetamine – D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia – simple misdemeanor.
Mark Shaughnessy (64) of Mallard, Iowa was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense marijuana – aggravated misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance 1st offense methamphetamine – serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia – simple misdemeanor.
All of the subjects were transported without incident to the Palo Alto County Jail and booked in to await their initial appearance before a judge.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department, the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, and Wickman’s Towing.

I know you can’t pick your mother, but you CAN CHOOSE to leave her in your dust. You need to do WELL for yourself, and forget about that trash heap. I’m sure there is a woman In your life you can look up to instead of her.
I know your mother, and I can say without batting an eye, that she is the SCUM of this earth. If we could euthanize humans, she’d be one of the first ones to go.
I’m sorry to be so harsh, because none of this is your fault by no means, but I’m telling you the truth.
My dad and her split up when I was around 4, and I haven’t seen her since, I’m 15 now and I was wondering where she had gone and tried getting her number and stumbled apound this. I know shes a bad person like very bad. But luckly my Father married someone else and she and I get along perfectly and she’s a better role model than her. And I’m way over Ashley you can be as harsh as you’d like, but thank you I didn’t know she was a prostitute and all that but it figures.
Meth dealers and Meth heads should be executed!
