OBIT: Eugene “Jeep” Fatta

Eugene “Jeep” Fatta, 61, of Mason City, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at his home. Per Eugene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of Eugene Fatta.

Eugene was born on July 22, 1959 to parents Eugene and Rose (Alaimo) Fatta in New York.

Eugene was employed at IMT in Garner, IA for 17 years.

Eugene was very sociable and known for his dry sense of humor. He loved to go fishing with his friends, and he was heavily involved in music, playing in the band, East Hill Blues in Buffalo, NY and most recently the band, Stone Groove in Mason City, IA. Jeep was a great man and he will forever be missed by many that knew him and loved him.

Jeep is survived by his partner of 17 years, Karin Middleton; special lifetime friend, “brother” Kurt Berger; son, Austin (Mary) Fatta; and daughter, Codi Fatta; granddaughters, Josephine, Lena, and Aviana; and step daughter, Molly Middleton.

Jeep was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Vincent Fatta and Rose (Alaimo) Fatta.
