Roger Ferdinand “Pete” Bissette, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Good Shepherd Health Care, Mason City, IA.
Family will be having a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Shalom Tower #1 Community Room, 304 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA.
Pete was born on February 24, 1941, in Holloway, MN, he is the son of Ferdinand and Doris (Hastings) Bissette. He grew up in Holloway eventually graduating from High School and serving in the Air Force. Pete spent 40 years of his life as an over the road truck driver. Once retiring he settled down in Mason City for the remainder of his life.
Humor was something that came easily to Pete, people will remember him for his good jokes and nice cars. Pete always took pride in having a nice car, often saying “he had pride in his ride”.
Those left to cherish memories of Pete are his son, Tony Bissette; daughter, Patti Jo Bissette; grandchildren, Brandon Bissette, Ryan Bissette, Dustin Folmuth, Jera Folmuth, Destiny Bissette, Gina Bissette, Alyssa Wells, and River Bissette; sister, Goldie Hunt; brother, Jerry Bissette; daughter in-law, Tammy Tolliver; family friend, Bobbie Flores; ex-spouse, Dixie, who remained close with Pete over the years; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Doris; son, Roger Bissette, daughter, Julie Bissette; twin grand-daughters, Selena and Kayla Bissette; sisters, Lyla Ahrndt, Alice Smith and Shirley Carpenter.
